Back on a late flight into Schiphol: booking a massage as a returning guest
A guest the house already knows has one rule that works differently: in a city room, on the same day, an hour or two is paid entirely at the door. A night landing at Schiphol tests exactly where that rule starts and stops.
The deposit exists to protect a therapist's night against a booking that never happens. Once a guest has booked before and turned up, the house trusts the next same-day request in town without asking for anything in advance. That trust has a clear edge, though, and a late flight sits right on it: the room may be at the airport, the request may be made the day before, the length may run past two hours. Each of those brings the deposit back.
When everything is paid at the door
Several conditions together make a booking free of any deposit: you have booked with the house before, the room is in central Amsterdam, the request is for later the same day, the length is an hour or two with one therapist, and the date is not one of the peak dates. Landing at eleven, taking the train into town and writing from the platform for an hour at your canal hotel meets every one of them. The whole fee is then settled when she arrives, forty to sixty minutes after confirmation.
When half still goes ahead
Change any one of those and the usual rule returns. A room at Schiphol, Schiphol-Rijk or Schiphol-Oost always confirms with half the fee, however well the house knows you. So does a request written more than a day ahead, a session of three hours or longer, the overnight, two therapists, or a peak date. The deposit page lists each case.
Asking for her again
Returning guests often want the therapist they met last time. Ask for her by name in the first message, and add a second choice in case she is already booked for the night. Her profile on the roster shows her languages and formats, which is worth a glance in case anything has changed since your last visit.
Planning the landing around the rule
If you would rather pay nothing in advance, plan the first night in the city and write on the day itself. If the flight lands too late for that to make sense, an airport room is the gentler choice, and the deposit simply comes with it. Neither path costs more, since the fee for each length is the same in both places. A thread kept from one visit to the next also makes the first message shorter, because your usual length and format are already in view.
