A quiet massage after a night landing at Schiphol: low light, few words, slow hands
After a long flight some guests want company and conversation; many want the opposite. A quiet session is one where the talking stops at the door and the room is kept dark, calm and slow.
Nothing on the services page is called a quiet session, because it is not a format. It is a way of running any format, set by a sentence or two in the first message. The therapists on this roster work at night more often than most and read a tired guest well, yet saying it plainly removes any guesswork, and it costs nothing.
How to ask
Put it in the thread alongside the length and the format: as little talking as possible, lights low, no music or something very soft. If you have a preference about scent, mention it too, since some oils carry more fragrance than others. She will still introduce herself and explain her limits at the start, which is brief; after that, the session can run with hardly a word.
Preparing the room
A quiet session starts before she arrives. Draw the curtains, switch off the bright overhead light and leave one lamp on. Set the air conditioning a little warmer than you would for sleep, because a body lying still under oil cools quickly. Turn the phone face down and silent, and hang the do-not-disturb sign on the outside of the door.
Formats that suit silence
Some formats are naturally quieter than others. A long erotic oil massage or a slow sensual one flows without instruction. Tantra sometimes opens with a few words about breathing, then settles into silence. Formats built around a shower involve more movement about the room and are better kept for a night when you are less worn out.
When she arrives
Open the door with the lamp already low and the room warm. She will set down her towels and oil, ask the one or two questions she needs answered, and then take her lead from the stillness you have prepared. If anything about the light or the temperature bothers you halfway through, a gesture or a single word is enough to change it; quiet never means you cannot speak.
Timing the quiet
Quiet works when the clock is not pressing. For a city room she arrives forty to sixty minutes after confirmation, so confirm once you have showered and the room is ready. For an airport room the reply states her journey time first. Choose a length that leaves you room to fall asleep afterwards rather than one that ends just before an alarm.
